Balsam of Peru

Balsam of Peru is the resin of the taucine tree. Dark, liquid, very fragrant. Scented with vanilla, amber, coniferous wood, amber. A very common ingredient in perfumes, used as a base note, a fixative. The aroma belongs to the group of amber scents, long lasting.

In perfumery, Peruvian balsam is combined with: bergamot, cherry, Damascus rose, jasmine, cedar, civet, musk, cloves.
